Dáithí, Jacqui and Louise bring hurling fans together ahead of the All-Ireland Finals

Up For The Match – Live From Croke Park this Saturday at 8pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player

For the first time, RTÉ’s Up For The Match will broadcast live from Croke Park, the home of the GAA, on the eve of both All-Ireland Finals.  

Presenters Jacqui Hurley, Dáithí Ó Sé and Louise Cantillon will be joined by 300 excited fans in the Croke Park studio, overlooking the pitch, as they enjoy the build-up to the All-Ireland Final the next day.  

Viewers can look forward to interviews with the stars of GAA plus fun, games and chat with the fans from both teams and video packages shining a light on the unsung heroes working tirelessly behind the scenes at Croke Park to make match days the best sporting occasion in Ireland as well as bespoke films celebrating the two county finalists.   

Throw-in this Saturday at 8pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player, the stars of Up for the Match – Live From Croke Park will be the fans, the iconic stadium and the epic showdown between Galway and Limerick.  

On the eve of the All-Ireland final, Jacqui and Dáithí will be joined by sport stars and commentators as excitement builds. Guests include former Limerick captain and manager TJ Ryan, Galway’s Joe Connolly who captained Galway to the Liam MacCarthy in 1980 ending a 57-year wait, All-Ireland winning goalkeeper with Galway James Skehill, Limerick All-Ireland winner Shane Dowling, Live 95’s Donn O’Sullivan, former Munster Championship winner Leo O’Connor, the voice of Gaelic Games on Galway Bay FM, Seán Walsh and All-Ireland winning Galway manager Cyril Farrell. 

With 300 fans from Galway and Limerick live in studio in Croke Park, Louise will be chatting to them about the match, their unusual fan rituals and outfits. Plus there will be a competition for viewers at home to win two tickets for the final.  

One of Ireland’s favourite comedians Neil Delamere will be taking a celebratory look at the two county finalists with two short films from the regions and two hurling dynasties will also be represented in the match build up.  

Tune in to Up For The Match – Live From Croke Park tomorrow (Saturday) at 8pm RTÉ One and RTÉ Player and next Saturday 25 July at 9.30pm ahead of the football final.
