RT\u00c9 requires that any company awarded a Commission is aware of the obligations under the RT\u00c9 Journalism & Content Guidelines 2020 (21449_RTE_Journalism_Guidelines_2020-Updated.pdf<\/a>) and the statutory and regulatory obligations under the Broadcasting Act 2009 and the relevant Codes of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (www.bai.ie<\/a> ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RT\u00c9 works in close collaboration with independent producers to deliver many of Ireland\u2019s most successful and valued television programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We compete for audiences not only with leading international commercial broadcasters but also with highly resourced public service broadcasters. In recent years, the continued growth of on\u2011demand platforms has significantly reshaped audience viewing behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our audiences expect to be informed, engaged, and entertained through high\u2011quality, original Irish content. RT\u00c9\u2019s schedules are built around meeting these expectations.
