IRP Round 22- RTÉ Radio 1 Summer Lunchtime Slot
We are looking to commission a programme run of eight shows for a Saturday lunchtime peak-time slot running through the summer, in the area of entertainment that will appear in particular to the 35-54 year old demographic.
Weekend need states are different to those of the weekdays, and the show should reflect these through their presenter(s) and content.
The show should be engaging and enlightening and seek to be creative in its production; an hour of entertaining, informative and amusing radio which can include culture, music, sport, current events and more.
Please provide an outline of your budget on submission, as well as some potential items.
Also please not that this programme sits between The Brendan O’Connor Show and Saturday Sport.

All proposals must be submitted via RTÉ’s eCommissioning system no later than 12:00 midday on Friday 10 April 2026. Late submissions cannot be accepted.
Producers who are not yet registered on the eCommissioning system should complete registration well in advance, as approval may take up to 48 hours. First‑time users are strongly advised to prepare a draft submission early to ensure both the proposal and budget are completed correctly.
