01 Registration
In order to submit programme proposals or ideas to RTÉ eCommissioning, you will need to register first with RTÉ.
What you need to register as a supplier:
It would be useful to have the following information to hand to assist you with registration to the system:
- company name
- company address
- company email address
- company phone number
- your mobile number
- list of key company contacts and phone numbers,
e.g. producers / production accountant etc, etc - company profile, i.e. information about your company’s relevant history and experience where you can tell us about your work to date
- the name of an authorised administrator in your company who will keep your account information up to date
- the names of any additional users in your company who require access to the system
(N.B. any additional users in your company will be managed by your account administrator)
All independent producers / companies should register on the RTÉ eCommissioning system under the name in which they will be making their programme submissions or ideas.
Please note that when you submit your registration request to RTÉ eCommissioning that you should receive an acknowledgement return email from RTÉ. If for some reason you don’t receive a response from RTÉ, please contact RTÉ Independent Productions for further details. Also, this supplier email address needs to remain in place whilst you are registered with RTÉ eCommissioning

02 Account Administration
Your company will be asked to nominate one account administrator. They will be able to add other ‘users’ within your company to submit programme proposals or ideas to RTÉ. They will be able to amend, suspend or disable ‘users’ (e.g. if they leave your company). In addition, they will be able to reset forgotten passwords automatically by email.
The account administrator can update your company profile at all times.
Passwords:
The system will automatically email you a token to your registered email address when you register as a supplier.
If you wish to have a number of users in your company, your account administrator or super-user can set up individual accounts for all other nominated system users and the system will automatically send each individual user a token.
Changing or Forgotten Passwords:
Each supplier’s account administrator can reset their own passwords as well as those of users within their company. This is done through Admin>Manage Company Users. See the Guide below for details. The new token will be emailed to your registered email address.
Individual users within each company should contact their account administrator or super-user should they require their password to be reset. The system will automatically email the new password to the user and this should be reset on first login.

03 Submitting a Programme Proposal
Programme proposals or ideas can only be submitted by suppliers who are registered on the
RTÉ eCommissioning system.
All programme proposals or ideas can now be submitted to RTÉ eCommissioning by filling
in a submission form on the web.
Each submission will automatically be routed to the relevant station’s commissioning team
that you choose.
You will be able to store all your programme proposals or ideas in draft form in your “My Draft Submissions” list until such time as you are ready to submit to RTÉ eCommissioning. You will also be
able to amend your programme proposals or ideas as often as you wish prior to submitting
to RTÉ.
Once you have submitted your programme proposal or idea to RTÉ eCommissioning you will
be able to track online the progress of your individual programme proposals and ideas
within the RTÉ commissioning process.
RTÉ’s commissioning process currently operates on a rolling basis to facilitate the
communication of commissioning priorities (via online commissioning briefs) to the
independent sector where discussions, assessments and final decisions on programme
submissions can be made all year round.
