It’s that time of the year again when the professional dancers will don their sequins and reunite to begin rehearsals for the brand new series of Dancing with the Stars. And this year the hit RTÉ show can reveal it will welcome four new dancers to its pro dancer line up for 2020. The new series will return to our screens on RTÉ One in the New Year.
The new dancers will be in good hands when they join returning seasoned DWTS pros; John Nolan, Karen Byrne, Robert Rowiński, Giulia Dotta, Kai Widdrington, Emily Barker and Ryan McShane as they prepare for another season of show stopping routines as only they know how.
New to the professional dancer line-up this year are Laura Nolan, Pasquale La Rocca, Kylee Vincent and Steven Vincent.
Irish dancer, Laura Nolan, is from Dublin. Along with ballroom and Latin dancing, Laura is also trained in ballet. Laura was a finalist in the Under 21 World Championship, placing her amongst the top ten in the world. In 2018, she and her professional partner ranked fifth in the World Open. Nolan has won numerous International Open championships and was a finalist in the German Open.
Speaking about joining the team Laura said; “I’m delighted to be part of such an amazing team and production. Rehearsals are going fantastic already, I’m loving every minute of it and I think this season is going to be spectacular. One of the best yet!”
Fresh from being crowned champion of Dancing with the Stars inBelgiumalongside his celebrity partner, Pasquale La Rocca headed straight for Dublin to join the team and begin rehearsals this week. Originally from Italy but residing in London he’s a specialist in the Latin genre, and has featured in many finals of international competitions and represented Italy at the World Championships reaching the semi-final stage.
Speaking about joining the DWTS team this year Pasquale said; “I’m so much excited that I’m am joining the team of Dancing with the Stars. It’s such honour to be part of an incredible team.”
Kylee Vincent is a professional dancer from Pretoria, South Africa. She started dancing at the age of eight and has experience in freestyle, slow dance, hip-hop and contemporary but specialises in Latin. She represented South Africa in Italy at the Junior World championships. Kylee is the undefeated WDC South African under 21 Latin champion. The highlight of Kylee’s dance career was winning the 2012 Under 21 Open British Latin Championship title in Blackpool. She has toured the globe with the Burn the Floor stage show since 2013 where she met her husband, Stephen.
Commenting on starting rehearsals Kylee said; “I am absolutely thrilled to be working with such a talented group of talented dancers and choreographers. Coming off the tour for a couple of years now this is something new and challenging. I’m always up for a challenge and hope my celebrity is ready for as they say in Ireland having the craic!”
Manchester-born, Stephen Vincent started dancing at six years of age. At the age of sixteen he won the title of UK Latin Champion and represented the UK internationally at the world championships. Stephen studied dance at Italia Conti in London. His theatre credits include West End shows, Latin Fever and Cheek to Cheek and Burn the Floor which he has toured with worldwide since 2006. He is married to fellow-DWTS pro, Kylee Vincent.
Speaking about joining the pro dancer team Stephen said; “I am extremely excited to be one of the pro dancers on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. I’m a huge fan of the show and cannot wait to get out there with my celebrity partner and show Ireland what we’ve got. I’m so thankful to be working alongside some amazing dancers and choreographers. This season is going to be fabulous.”
Over the coming weeks the pro team will sweat it out and pull out all the stops to go bigger and better as they gear up for another spectacular series of Dancing with the Stars.
