Marty Whelan, Niall Carroll, Liz Nolan and Lorcan Murray will all be celebrating RTE lyric fm’s 21 years on air this coming Monday 4 May.

Tune in for some of your favourite tracks as the lyric team delve into the considerable catalogue of RTÉ lyric fm CD releases. As well as lyric’s studio recordings and live concert broadcasts, the RTÉ lyric fm CD label has been capturing incredible music-making in Ireland.

Marty Whelan says: “We’ll be showcasing great Irish composers – from Joan Trimble to Bill Whelan and Shaun Davey – as werllmusicians who have become national and international representatives – Celine Byrne, Finghin Collins, James Galway, Hugh Tinney and David Brophy to name just a few.”

RTÉ lyric fm will also feature tracks and concert selections from RTÉ’s own Orchestras and Choirs – the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, RTÉ Cór na nÓg and the RTÉ Philharmonic Choir.
