Half of all those watching TV were tuned to RTÉ2
Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League Final win over Liverpool on Saturday night drew an average audience of 573,000* to RTÉ2 peaking at 694,000* at 10.30pm as the delayed game finished.
Over half of all those watching television at the time (50.2%*) were tuned-in to RTÉ2’s live coverage as the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League came to a thrilling conclusion.
International football takes centre-stage next on RTÉ with live coverage from Tallaght Stadium of the Republic of Ireland v Bosnia and Herzegovina in a 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier (7.00pm, Friday 3 June, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player) followed by live UEFA Nations League action as the Republic of Ireland travel to face Armenia (1.30pm, Saturday 4 June, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player).
Monday 6 June at 4.30pm sees another UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player as the Republic of Ireland face Montenegro in Tallaght Stadium while on Wednesday 8 June the senior men’s side take on Ukraine in the Aviva Stadium (7.00pm, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player) in the UEFA Nations League.
Scotland are the visitors to the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 11 June in the UEFA Nations League at 4.15pm on RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player.
