Viewing numbers peak at 1.2m
Additional 230,000 streams on RTÉ Player
Ireland’s last minute Guinness Six Nations defeat to England in Twickenham on Saturday night saw an average audience of 971,000 watching on RTÉ2.
69% of those watching TV at the time were tuned-in to RTÉ2’s live coverage which peaked at 1.2 million at 6.33pm. Meanwhile there were 230,000 streams on RTÉ Player.
The Guinness Six Nations concludes this weekend with two live games on Saturday on RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player. First, Wales and Italy battle to avoid the wooden spoon (1.45pm) while later (7.30pm) England face France in Lyon with both sides still mathematically in with a chance of winning the Championship.
