Joseph Hoban has been announced as RTÉ’s new Head of Communications, Marketing and Social. The role integrates RTÉ’s full range of communications, marketing and social media operations, including brand strategy.
Joe will now lead RTÉ’s single communications, marketing & social team, delivering an integrated brand restoration strategy for RTÉ and for RTÉ’s channels, content, events, and product brands. Joe will also lead the RTÉ Brand Project and continue to lead the events and partnerships portfolio.
Joe joined RTÉ originally as Senior Press Officer, Television, and has held a number of roles in RTÉ, including Communications and Marketing Manager in Radio, Head of Corporate Communications, and more recently Head of Brand Projects. Joe is a member of the board of the Celtic Media Festival, and was Chair of the Communications Expert Group of the European Broadcasting Union from 2016 until 2024.
