This April, RTÉ is delighted to support Cúirt International Festival of Literature, Incognito Art Sale for Jack and Jill along with 13 other amazing arts and cultural events all over Ireland spanning theatre, film, art, music, dance, opera, festivals, exhibitions and more.
This year Cúirt International Festival marks its 40th anniversary with an exciting line up of readers and writers brought together to tell stories, share new perspectives and celebrate writing in all forms. From 8th – 13th April Cúirt Festival will showcase a range of stellar writing talent, alongside a special programme of commemorative events. This year Cúirt Festival are delighted to host a wide selection of world-class authors who are at the pinnacle of their writing careers, as well as introducing you to compelling new voices and debut authors.
Incognito Art Sale in aid of Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation will take place from 2nd -17th April. Now in its ninth year, incognito has become Ireland’s largest online art sale. It continues to offer unique, affordable pieces of art while supporting the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, which helps over 400 families. This year incognito introduces a fresh twist. Half of the collection will be available for purchase in person at the incognito gallery at unit 5, Charlemont Square Dublin 2, while the other half will be sold exclusively online. So, whether you’re in Dublin or beyond, incognito offers a chance to start or grow your art collection, all while supporting families in need.
There are several music events to enjoy around the country. Limerick Early Music Festival and Cork International Choral Festival will present an impressive programme, both with a special emphasis on sacred music in the city. In Dublin, New Music Dublin and Current Music Festival will take place in April. Both festivals showcase a variety of contemporary music events and are a key highlight in Dublin’s cultural calendar.
It’s ‘lights, camera, action’ in Limerick this month with Fresh International Film Festival and Catalyst International Film Festival. Fresh International Film Festival offers screenings and workshops encouraging young filmmakers to let their talent shine. Catalyst International Film Festival takes place 03rd – 06th April, with and exciting programme and judging panel, this festival prioritises stories and storytellers.
