RTÉ Radio 1 continues to be Ireland’s most-popular radio station with over 1.4 million listeners every week and the first choice for 35-54 year olds
2FM attracts 677,000 weekly listeners
RTÉ lyric fm increases its share to an all-time high of 2.8%
RTÉ’s radio portfolio continues to prove most popular with audiences nationwide with its diverse mix of content spanning trusted news and current affairs, sport, arts and culture, music, entertainment and the Irish language clearly resonating with audiences.
- With a 29% market share, RTÉ’s radio services are the most-listened-to in Ireland for All Adults.
- RTÉ now holds 18 of the top 20 programmes and the entire top 10.
- RTÉ lyric fm achieves its highest ever share of 2.8% with continued growth.
- RTÉ Radio 1 is the first choice for adults aged 35–54 nationwide, with a share of 14%, and remains the only station with a weekly reach of over 1 million.
- RTÉ 2FM attracts 677,000 weekly listeners and has a 10.3% share among 15–34 year-olds.
- Raidío na Gaeltachta increases its weekly reach to over 100K listeners.
Speaking on the latest figures, Patricia Monahan, Director of Audio, RTÉ said:
“This is a great result for RTÉ giving us 29% audience share and clearly positioning our stations as the most-listened-to in Ireland. Across the portfolio we provide a diverse mix of trusted content for audiences covering a wide range of genres including news and current affairs, sport, arts and culture, music, entertainment and the Irish language.
RTÉ Radio 1 remains the most-popular station in Ireland, reaching 1.4 million listeners every week, an increase of 25,000 over the last three months. It has also grown its share of 35–54-year-olds to 14%, outperforming all other stations in that demographic. RTÉ 2FM reaches 677,000 listeners every week and enjoys a 10.3% share of the 15 – 34-year-old audience. RTÉ lyric fm continues to deliver consistent growth, reaching 329,000 listeners every week, while RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta also sees an increase now reaching 102,000 listeners every week as it continues to play a crucial role in supporting our language and culture.

Morning Ireland remains Ireland’s most-listened-to radio programme with 469,000 listeners this book.
Oliver Callan airing 9-10am Monday to Friday has 354,000 listeners each day (+18,000 YoY).
Today with Claire Byrne has 354,000 listeners tuning in every weekday from 10am-12 noon (+10,000 YoY).
The Louise Duffy Show has 219,000 listeners tuning in for easy listening and great music.
News at One has 298,000 listeners. (+3,000 YoY).
Liveline has a listenership of 299,000.
The Ray D’Arcy Show weekday afternoons on RTÉ Radio 1 has 182,000 listeners.
Drivetime has 217,000 listeners tuning in each evening.
Over on Weekends, Brendan O’Connor on Saturday has 412,000 listeners (+72,000 YoY), with 409,000 listeners tuning in on Sunday. (+63,000 YoY).
Playback on Saturday has 351,000 listeners. (+14,000 YoY).
The Business on Saturday mornings has 351,000 listeners. (+20,000 YoY).
Saturday with Colm Ó Mongáin has 229,000 listeners. (+13,000 YoY).
Saturday Sport/Doc On One from 2-6pm on RTÉ Radio 1 has 226,000 listeners.
Sunday Miscellany has 300,000 listeners.
Sunday with Miriam has 317,000 listeners. (+8,000 YoY).
This Week has 200,000 listeners on Sunday. (+17,000 YoY).
Sunday Sport has 211,000 listeners tuning in. (+8,000 YoY).
Arena has 45,000 listeners every weekday.
The John Creedon Show has 57,000 listeners on weeknights (+1,000 YoY).
Starting off the mornings, Rising Time has 51,000 listeners on weekdays.

Laura Fox on 2FM has 122,000 listeners to her 9am-12pm show.
The Tracy Clifford Show has 110,000 listeners enjoying the best of Irish music and the home of RTÉ 2FM Rising.
2FM Drive with Doireann Garrihy entertains listeners across the country on their evening commute with 125,000 listeners.
Game On has 37,000 listeners tuning in on weeknights.
2FM Weekend Breakfast with Helen & Benny has 63,000 listeners on Saturdays and on Sunday 30,000 listeners.
Weekend on 2FM with Bláthnaid Treacy on Saturdays has 153,000 listeners and on Sundays 140,000 (+5,000 BoB).
2FM Weekend Afternoon with Demi & Mikey has 127,000 listeners on Saturdays (+5,000 BoB) and on Sundays they have 127,000 listeners. (+9,000 BoB).
2FM Weekend Drive with Emma & Graham has 112,000 listeners (+9,000 BoB) on Sundays they have 78,000 listeners (+10,000 BoB).

RTÉ lyric fm continues its steady rise, now reaching 329,000 listeners every week and growing audiences across the schedule. The station’s blend of world-class music and engaging presenters is resonating with listeners of all ages.
Marty in the Morning has 75,000 listeners (+8,000 YoY) tuning in every weekday morning.
Niall Carroll’s Classical Daytime on weekdays has 42,000 listeners.
Aedín Gormley’s Movies and Musicals every Saturday afternoon has 63,000 listeners.
Sunday Afternoon with Simon Delaney has 61,000 listeners.
Weekend Classics with Claudia Boyle has 54,000 listeners on Saturdays and on Sundays the programme has 46,000 listeners.
Liz Nolan’s The Full Score/ Aedín in the Afternoon (Friday) have 47,000 listeners.
Lorcan Murray’s Classic Drive takes 64,000 listeners into the evening each weekday (+7,000 YoY).
The Mystery Train with John Kelly (Mon-Thurs)/ RTÉ lyric Live with Paul Herriott (Fri) has 33,000 listeners (+5,000 YoY).
The Hamilton Scores with George Hamilton have 51,000 listeners (+5,000 YoY) on Saturdays and 52,000 on Sundays.

Classic Drive with Lorcan Murray is also up 5,000(BoB)/ 7,000(YoY) new listeners as Lorcan sets the tone for listeners to relax into the evening. Weekends too on RTÉ lyric are strong as Claudia Boyle and Simon Delaney continue to attract new listeners along with increases in our evening schedule for Opera Night with Paul Herriott, Vespertine with Ellen Cranitch and The Lyric Feature. It is also great to see that while lyric retains its loyal over 55 year audience, the station is seeing increases amongst 35 – 54 year olds reinforcing our mantra that good music is for everyone.”
