RTÉ appoints new Chief Financial Officer
RTÉ has today announced the appointment of Annemarie Britz to the position of Chief Financial Officer, RTÉ following a public competition.
Annemarie Britz is currently the Director of Finance and Business Performance at the Central Bank of Ireland.
Annemarie will take up the role in autumn 2026.
Annemarie joined the Central Bank of Ireland in 2019 as the Head of the Financial Control Division, a position she held until 2024 when she was appointed to her current role. Prior to joining the Central Bank, Annemarie spent most of her career working in the private sector in South Africa where she held several CFO positions. She joined the Reserve Bank of South Africa in 2014 where she held the positions of Deputy Chief Financial Officer (2014 – 2016) and Deputy Head Financial Markets (2016 – 2019).
Annemarie represents the Central Bank of Ireland on the Budget Committee of the European Central Bank and is a member of its global network of Central Bank CFOs. She previously served on the ECB’s Accounting and Monetary Income Committee. Annemarie holds a BCom Accounting Honours degree and a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

An interim arrangement will be announced before the departure of current Chief Financial Officer, Mari Hurley.
