New RTÉ podcasts provide soundtrack to your summer 2020
RTÉ has launched a brand new podcast series aimed at school leavers, students and 20-somethings on what their summer 2020 plans look like in the current COVID pandemic.
Atypical Irish Summer is a five-part podcast series about adapting to life in 2020 for four friends, Alex, Doireann, Elaine and Sam which invites the audience to listen-in to their online chats, providing a window into their worlds. Presenter Taragh Loughrey-Grant explores everything on travel, relationships, careers and cash and talks to leading experts on practical tips and tricks on how to make the most of summer 2020.
In the first episode, the global travel ban is tackled as Alex and Doireann reveal their plans to go to Western Australia were scraped. Resilience expert Siobhan Murray, Coaching Psychotherapist explains ways in which we can all adapt.
Siobhán says: “Nobody is ‘bouncing back’ right now. We’re crawling through existence. Whether through work, college, relationships… resilience is adaptability.”
Unlocked with Laura and Emma season 2 is back with a bang! Featuring an interview with Danny from the Coronas, the girls embrace season 2 with energy, passion and just great craic.
Emma Power says: “I’m so excited that we are back for a second season of ‘Unlocked with Laura and Emma’. We both had so much fun recording the first season, so it’s great to be back together again. This season will be more focused on guests, and we’re delighted to be kicking it off with Danny O’Reilly from The Coronas. DJ Tara Stewart returns with her six-part podcast series Dirty Laundry to give an insight into the world of sustainable fashion. Dirty Laundry series 2 will return for weekly episodes from 10th August.
Presenter Tara Stewart says: ‘I‘m really looking forward to season 2 of Dirty Laundry coming out.
