RTÉ wins three awards for coverage of mental health

RTÉ has claimed the top prize in three categories at the 2020 Headline Mental Health Media Awards yesterday, which recognise excellence in the coverage of mental health issues.
Congratulations to our all winners and nominees:
- RTÉ One’s Nationwide won the Mental Health Broadcasting | Short Form category for Kinvara Alive(Marian Malone and Matt Kelly). Congratulations also to RTÉ Prime Time ((Isabel Perceval and Eithne O’Brien) which was nominated for In harm’s way.
- RTÉ Radio 1’s Pantisocracy with Panti Bliss won the top prize in the Mental Health Content | Digital category for the episode, ‘Breaking secrets and silence’. Congratulations also to our other nominees in the category – Letters From Lockdown: Dear Dee (Shauna McGreevy and Kenny Mac Giolla Phádraig) and RTÉ’s You OK? podcast: Switching off our fight or flight response (Jan Ní Fhlanagáin).
- RTÉ’s ‘You Ok?’ podcast (Jan Ní Fhlanagáin) was also nominated in the Headline Impact award.
- Sheila Naughton received the Special Recognition award for The Road to Recovery interview on RTÉ Radio 1.
