2FM Rising, the annual programme that profiles and celebrates new and upcoming Irish artists each year, is taking to the road and this Autumn with Ireland’s most exciting new music acts. Rising on the Road is bringing together a selection of current and former Rising Acts to three venues around Ireland, a live music experience for 2FM listeners across the country.
Kicking off with Dolan’s Limerick on October 21st, Bobbi Arlo, Ezra Williams, and Sophie Doyle Ryder will perform exclusively at the event, hosted by 2FM’s Graham Smyth and DJ Kate Brennan Harding.
Since being an RTÉ 2FM Rising Artist, Bobbi Arlo has been shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize Song of the Year in 2021 and has played numerous festival stages this year including Primavera Sound. Ezra Williams is an independent musician from Greystones, Co Wicklow, who creates alt folk / alt rock music, and Sophie Doyle Ryder, a rising pop star, who received rave reviews from her performances at Forbidden Fruit and Body & Soul.
Next up on November 3rd is The Workman’s Club for Rising on the Road performances from Sprints, Sello, and THUMPER. Finally, follow the roadcaster to Anderson’s with the ultimate closing party featuring former Rising stars Le Boom, Chasing Abbey, and current Rising star Lucy Blue, on November 24th.
