Republic of Ireland’s historic FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 play-off v Scotland to be screened live on RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player
Next Tuesday 11 October sees live coverage on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player as the Republic of Ireland travel to Glasgow to take on Scotland in the biggest game in the history of Irish women’s football. A win for Vera Pauw’s side could see them qualify directly for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand next summer or they may face inter-confederation play-offs in New Zealand in February.
Coverage of the Republic of Ireland’s first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup play-off begins at 7.45pm on Tuesday when presenter Peter Collins will be joined in studio by Karen Duggan and Lisa Fallon with George Hamilton and Stephanie Roche on commentary in Hampden Park (KO 8.00pm).
RTÉ 2FM’s Game On, presented by Marie Crowe and Ruby Walsh, will have full live commentary from Adrian Eames and Alan Cawley in Glasgow while RTÉ.ie/Sport will have a match tracker plus all the reaction from Hampden Park.
Earlier on Tuesday RTÉ’s UEFA Champions League coverage continues with live match day 4 action as Manchester City visit Denmark to take on Copenhagen. Darragh Maloney will be joined by Richie Sadlier from 5.30pm with Des Curran and Ronnie Whelan on commentary (KO 5.45pm).
