– 575,900 watched Adam and Carly move to Ballinmore to stay with their individual families in Raised by the Village 

While the Boys in Green had a rest last weekend in the Rugby World Cup, it was a weekend full of real life Irish stories on RTÉ. RTÉ One was the channel of choice once again with The Late Late Show, Room to Improve, Fair City, RTÉ News, The Ray D’Arcy Show and Raised by the Village all amongst nine out of ten of the most-watched shows in the country.

A 49% share of Irish audiences (487,900) sat down to watch a stellar Late Late Show on Friday evening. From Operation Transformation’s Jean Tierney with her new baby Brayden, to a special 25th Anniversary performance of Riverdance. Former Ireland international Richie Sadlier drew the highest share of the show with his brave revelations about being the victim of sexual abuse as a teenager.

Room to Improve saw Dermot Bannon completely overhaul Claudia and Tom’s 1920’s bungalow with panoramic views of Tramore Bay. Dermot faced new challenges as he tried to deliver the perfect home with the perfect view. 

393,100 viewers (34% share) watched last nights Fair City, as Barry O’Hanlon struggles to settle back into Carrigstown after spending 8 years in prison. The cracks are starting to show between Will and Cristiano while Hayley was excited about her new career opportunities, not knowing the real truth behind her new venture. 

Raised by the Village’s second episode of the new series saw a jump of 70,000 viewers since the new season premiered last Sunday, averaging 373,000 with a 35.67% share. This episode told the story of Carly and Adam, both Dublin teenagers who travelled to Ballinmore to experience life in rural Ireland in a bid to help them get their own lives back on track. 

A host of Irish celebrities joined The Ray D’Arcy Show on Saturday night including Mrs Browns Boys star, Rory Cowan, Irish actress, Bronagh Gallagher and comedian Jarlath Regan. Viewers hearts were filled with love when they were introduced to abandoned puppies, Tomás, Liam and Fifi who were put up for adoption by the ISPCA who are looking for forever homes for each of them The programme was watched by 292,500 (30.17% share).
